Hôtel Amour

What would you look for in a hotel when going to in Paris? Probably you’d want to be in a neighborhood with the latest hotspots at walking distance, in a smaller trendy hotel with cool interior and which is preferably also a nice hangout by itself for food or cocktails. Well, check check and double check because Hôtel Amour has it all!

Hôtel Amour is a boutique hotel in the 9th, at the heart of ever so popular SoPi area. Around the corner you’ll find a bunch of concept stores, bakeries, restaurants, bars and clubs to entertain yourself all weekend long.

Ever since Hôtel Amour opened in 2006 it has been a hit, attracting a young and fun crowd. Especially on the weekends, when the downstairs restaurant is packed either for dinner & drinks or for a Sunday brunch in the lush green back garden.

The black walled corridors take you to one of the 24 rooms, which are all designed in a unique way by contemporary artists and designers according to an erotic or love related theme. To put it like this, it’s not your standard interior. Our room was completely fuchsia pink with black, including an insanely cool mirror with neon pink lighting. Yet another room has bright green walls filled with graffiti and a bath tub in the middle of the room or full of. The details of Hotel Amour, such as the sensual photographs throughout the hotel, take you into another world. And even a good eye of detail is given to the complementary soaps from New York based O.C. Bigelow Apothecaries.

Hôtel Amour breathes an erotic and cool atmosphere. Once staying at the hotel, you might also have dinner here or at the nearby Buvette for example. We started our Sunday with with some lovely Eggs Benedict in the garden of Hôtel Amour, highly recommendable. Then just stroll down Rue des Martyrs for an enjoyable afternoon of shopping, drinking & eating.
