Stock Sale

Stock Sale (Header)What is it about Parisian women and their great sense of style? Chic, simple, elegant, always so effortless yet sophisticated. Ever since visiting Paris on a regular basis I’ve been wondering how the Parisiennes do this, what makes them so stylish with that certain je ne sais quoi?

Fashion icon Diana Vreeland was once asked how one becomes as stylish as she, and she answered: “The first thing to do, my love, is to arrange to be born in Paris.” Mmmm, that’s not going to happen anymore unfortunately… So, what else?

First step is to buy some key pieces from one of the many French fashion labels. My favorites are the new-generation contemporary brands Maje, Sandro and Zadig et Voltaire. Very feminine but with an edgy twist. And do you want to know a little Parisian secret? These brands have so-called stock shops where you can buy last season items at 40% to 50% off! On my last visit, I bought this great in-between wool and leather coat. Which, of course, I’ve been wearing non-stop ever since. Perhaps this is also because I feel soooo Parisian wearing it. What’s still missing though is a French designer handbag… Hey, a girl can dream right?!
